Mijar Attempt to Murder accused Basheer Arrested
Mangaluru: The prime accused in Mijar attempt to murder case in July 2016, was arrested by the CCB police at Shirthady here on September 29.
The arrested has been identified as K Abdul Basheer alias Arga Basheet (42), a resident of Todar, Badaga Yedapadav.
According to the police, on July 16, while Dharmendra and his friend Devu were on their way home on their bike, a group of 10-15 members came in 4 -5 bikes and a car and waylaid their bike. The group used foul language and assaulted Dharmendra and Devu with an iron rod and wooden clubs, and fled from the spot.
In this regard, a case was filed in the Bajpe police station. On getting information, the CCB police arrested Abdul Basheer from Shirthady. He was handed over to the Bajpe police station for further investigation.
CCB inspector Sunil Y Nayak, PSI Shyam Sundar and team took part in the operation and arrested the accused.
