Minister Jayamala Launches “Udupi Help” App to Address Grievances during Monsoon
Udupi: The Udupi District minister in-charge Dr. Jayamala launched an app called “Udupi Help” to address public grievances during the monsoon season within the Udupi City Municipal Council (CMC) limits on Tuesday, June 11.
After launching the app, Dr. Jayamala said, “The Udupi district administration has done a good job to provide immediate relief to citizens’ problems during the monsoon season. Several kinds of natural calamities are happening during monsoons. The citizen wants urgent response from the district administration. Through this Udupi Help App, the public can inform their problems directly to the district administration and officials can quickly find the solution.”
Deputy Commissioner Hephsiba Rani Korlapati said that the app was being launched on a trial basis. The app, covering the entire district, will be released next year. The citizens in Udupi can download ‘Udupi Help’ from Playstore and post any grievances including photos and videos related to the monsoon. The city municipality will address the problem within six hours, she said.
District Superintendent of Police Nisha James, Additional DC Viday Kumari, App Developer Sandeep Bhaktha, and others were present.
