In his message, Madhwaraj said, “The Udupi district is considered the most developed region of Karnataka. The two districts have long been popularly known as ‘Buddhivanthara Nadu’ or “land of the intelligent people.” The district does not lack in resources. The students of the district are ahead in SSLC and PUC results every year. During my election manifesto, I had released my Vision 2020, in that I have promised that I will try to bring at least one or two IT/BT companies to the Udupi district and I am still trying. If any companies are ready to come to Udupi district we are ready to give one acre of land at the Brahmavar Agriculture and research centre”, he added.

Our young students are participating in many Job Fairs but they fail to secure jobs. The department of Youth empowerment and sports has decided to hold the Job Mela in every district giving skill development training to the aspirants. 150 hours of Skill training will help the aspirants get jobs easily. For the first time, the department has organised this kind of Job Mela and Skill Development Training programmes in Udupi district. By 2020, India is set to become the world’s youngest country with 64 percent of its population in the working age group of 28 which is an asset only if our youngsters are skilled and oriented to serve the nation. In this direction we should prepare our youth”.
