Later the website www.kaushalkar.com was launched by B Ramanath Rai.
Addressing the gathering Ramanath Rai said, “In the last budget the Chief Minister has allocated funds for training youth aged between 16 to 38 years in skill development under the “CM’s Kaushalya Karnataka Scheme” to help them earn their livelihood. Under this scheme, more than 5 lakh youth in the state will be trained. All educated, skilled or uneducated youth can apply under this scheme. To help the youth to register their names for training we have launched the website www.kaushalkar.com.
Addressing the mediapersons Ramanath Rai said, “The aim of this programme is to provide skill development training. Our first step is to enroll the names of the youth who are interested in undergoing training. Once the enrolment is complete we will train the youth according to their interest and capacity. Uneducated youth can also apply for the training. Through training, they can improve their skills. The duration of the training will vary depending on course.”
Ramanath Rai further said, “Under this scheme, 70% of the youth will get jobs. Those who are interested in working in the gulf countries will have good opportunities of getting jobs. Teams have already been formed under the presidentship of Chief minister Siddaramaiah in the state-level – Karnataka Kaushalya Mission, district-level – district Kaushalya mission and Taluk-level – Taluk Kaushalya mission. Today CM Siddaramaiah has launched the website in Bengaluru and inaugurated the programme, the programme will be inaugurated throughout the state,” he added
Rai also said, “There is a saying “Idle mind is devil’s workshop”. If the youth don’t get jobs after completing their education they will involve in anti-social activities. This scheme is a dream of our chief minister Siddaramaiah to train the youth in their field of interest. Let the youth make full use of the opportunities and make the scheme successful.”
MLA J R Lobo speaking on the occasion said, “Our government has given priority to skill development so that our youth will benefit. All the youth should think of their strengths and interest. Our youth have the education but do not know their strength, after completing their education they do not get jobs. There are many vacancies, but our youth do not know what to do or which field to chose. Sometimes, companies do not get suitable candidates. Lack of training is one of the reasons for unemployment. The Kaushalya Karnataka Scheme will train the youth according to their interests. Make use of the opportunities that come to you,” he stressed.
DC Dr K G Jagadeesha, District Secretary In-charge Ritesh Kumar Singh, CEO ZP Dr M R Ravi, President Beary Sahitya Academy Mohammed Haneef, MCC Commissioner Mohammed Nazir and others were also present.
