Minister Rai inaugurates MCC Bayalu Rangamandira at Kadri

Mangaluru: The District Minister In-charge Ramanath Rai inaugurated the open stage (Bayalu Rangamandira) at Kadri grounds here on September 12.

Prior to the inauguration, Ramanath Rai inaugurated the circle constructed by Bhandary builders to promote greenery.

The programme began with an invocation. Joint Director of District Industries Centre Gokuldas Nayak welcomed the gathering. Minister Rai unveiled the plaque of Open stage followed by the inauguration by lighting the traditional lamp.

Addressing the gathering Ramanath Rai said, “Kadri is a beautiful area and many cultural and religious programmes have been organised here. Since there was no proper stage to hold programmes in the area. The area corporator D K Ashok strived hard to construct an open stage at the Kadri grounds. Today because of his efforts we have dedicated a full fledged open stage for the people of Kadri.”

Rai further said, “The open stage will surely fulfil the needs of the organizers to hold religious as well as cultural programmes.”

The open stage was constructed at a cost of Rs 60 lakhs.

On the occasion of the Sri Krishna Janmashtami, Kadri friends distributed rice to the poor families.

Mayor Kavitha Sanil, deputy mayor Rajaneesh, Sashidhar Hegde, Rathikala, DK Ashok and others were also present.
