Minister Ramesh Jigajinagi Views ‘Calling Bell with Swachhta Tone’ at Sahyadri

Ramesh Chandappa Jigajinagi, Union Minister of State for Drinking Water & Sanitation visits Sahyadri and views ‘Calling Bell with Swachhta Tone’, an initiative by Dr. M R Ravi, CEO, Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayath towards cleanliness, thereby creating awareness among the general public by way of calling bell.

Mangaluru: Ramesh Chandappa Jigajinagi, Minister of State for Drinking Water & Sanitation visited the campus. During the visit he interacted with the Chairman of Sahyadri Institutions, Manjunath Bhandary and was taken round the campus to view the various student-centric initiatives introduced by the institution. He appreciated the encouragement given to the students to nurture their talents, innovative ideas and the progress of institute in a span of just ten years. He congratulated Sahyadri Management Team and all the members of Sahyadri family who have constantly served for the growth of the institute. He wished great success to the institute.

Ramesh Chandappa Jigajinagi was inducted into Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s government as a Minister of State for Drinking Water & Sanitation in the year 2016. He is the Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) representing the Bijapur Constituency.

Calling Bell with Swachhta Tone

The Union Minister during his visit to Sahyadri he viewed the Calling Bell with Swachhta tone in the presence of Chairman, Manjunath Bhandary and Raghav Shetty, CEO, RDL Technologies and appreciated them for their interest shown in the project.

This ‘Calling Bell” is an initiative by Dr. M R Ravi, CEO, Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayath towards cleanliness, thereby creating awareness among the general public by way of calling bell. This unique concept was presented by Dr. M R Ravi to the Sahyadri Management, in the presence of Faculty members and the Start up Team during his visit to Sahyadri earlier. As a response to the concept, a team of experts from the institute converted the concept into an end product by designing a calling bell with Swachhta tone imbibed in it. These calling bells have already been installed and are in use at the Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayath office. As a part of the Pilot programme, Sahyadri has expressed its willingness to partially sponsor for the cause in making of such calling bells.
