Minister Suresh Inaugurates ‘Kudla Express’ in Mangaluru through Video Conferencing from Goa
Mangaluru: The much waited Mangaluru-Bengaluru (Yashawantpur) day train “Kudla Express” was flagged off at the Mangaluru Junction Railway Station here on April 9.
The “Kudla Express”, train was flagged off by Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu through Video Conferencing at 11:48 am from Goa.
To mark the inaugural of Kudla Express, district minister in-charge B Ramanath Rai, former Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLA J R Lobo, Chief Whip Ivan D’Souza, Mayor Kavitha Sanil, Captain Ganesh Karnik, ZP President Meenakshi Shanthigodu were present at the Mangaluru Junction Railway station.
At the same time, the minister also inaugurated the 82 Kilometer Railway electrification from Mangaluru Junction, Mangaluru Central and Chervathur Railway station and the 3.5 KM long twin railway track at Panambur – Jokatte was also inaugurated.
The Kudla Express timings will be as follows:
From Mangaluru Junction the train will leave to Yashwanthpur in Bengaluru. The Kudla train number 16576 / 16575 will travel thrice a week from Mangaluru to Yashwanthpur. The train number 16576 will start on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 11;30 am from Mangaluru Junction and reach Yashwanthpur at 8:30 pm.
The train number 16757 will start from Yashwanthpur every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday at 7:50 am and reach Mangaluru at 5.30pm.
