Minor Girl Rape Case, Two held for Posting Victim’s Photo on Social Media
Mangaluru: Two youth have been arrested by the Pandeshwar police in connection with posting the rape victim’s photo and comment about her on the Social media on January 18.
The arrested have been identified as Nivesh (28) from Someshwar and Durgesh (25) from Udayanagar.
Akash Bhavan Sharan had befriended a minor girl and raped her. On January 7, a case was filed by the victim’s family in the Pandeshwar Women’s police station under the POCSO Act.
Both the accused posted the victim’s photo on the social media and also posted comments against her. In this connection, a case was filed in the Pandeshwar police station under 67 (B) IT act, 14 POCSO Act and 228(A) IPC.
Based on the complaint the Pandeshwar police have arrested Nivesh and Durgesh.
