Udupi: Miscreants damaged sign posts which were installed various places in the Haradi Gram Panchayat limits between June 14 night and 15 morning.
The incident came to light on June 15 morning. Villagers informed the gram Panchayat officials that 6 signposts were pulled out and found damaged.
Villagers suspected that misunderstanding among local political parties in the Panchayat might be the reason for damaging the signposts. According to some of the villagers, James D’Silva Panchayat development officer had visited the spot and lodged a complaint.
A case has been registered in Brahmavar police station.
