Miscreants Question KRV members for Abusive language against Tuluvas

Mangaluru: Miscreants took the members of Karnataka Rakshana Vedike (KRV) to task at the Central Railway station here on January 24 for insulting Tuluvas by KRV member John in Bengaluru.

After the protest when the KRV members were returning from the railway station some Miscreants said to be the members of Tulunadu organizations who were waiting outside the railway station got into an argument with KRV members. It is alleged that KRV member from Bengaluru John had posted insulting comments on the facebook page about the people of Tulunadu and the Tulu language. There was an exchange of words between both the parties.

Speaking to mangalorean.com President of KRV Anil Das said, “When we were returning from the protest some persons calling themselves as the members of Tulunadu Organizations stopped us at the entrance of the railway station. They also said, “KRV member from Bengaluru John had insulted the children of Tulunadu”. When we found that John had insulted Tuluvas and the Tulu Language we had immediately expelled him from KRV. We respect Tulu language and are working towards including Tulu in the 8th schedule.”

Anil Das further said, “We have been deeply hurt by the attitude of John whom we had expelled from KRV. But today few persons started to fight with us in regard to John’s issue. The persons who picked a fight with us do not belong to any organization. After a while, they left the spot”.
