Miscreants Set Fire to Tree Park, Estimated Loss Rs 6 Lakh
Mangaluru: Miscreants set fire to the “Tree Park” at Tannirbavi here on March 29.
According to primary reports, it is alleged that miscreants have set fire to the tree park at Tannirbavi. The tree park was inaugurated on March 26, 2016, it has a herbal garden to spread awareness about the importance of conserving biodiversity, and to provide education on nature to students and the general public. The tree park also is a source of relaxation for those visiting the place.
As soon as the fire was noticed people called the fire service which reached the spot and brought the fire under control. It is suspected that some miscreants set the tree park on fire. The estimated loss is said to be about Rs 6 lakh.
Panambur police have registered a case and investigation is on.
