Missing 13-year-old boy found after 3 years through Facebook
Udupi: The district police succeeded in tracing a 13-year old boy who went missing since three years with the help of Facebook.
Prem Kiran (13), the adopted son of Sridhar K Ameen resident of Hudco colony Anantha Nagar Manipal.
According to the police, Prem Kiran had left the house on 20 January 2015 at around 4:00 pm, to play in the MIT Ground, Manipal and did not return Home. A missing person’s case was lodged in the Manipal Police Station.
Recently the DCB and Anti Human trafficking Cell officer Rathnakumar got the message that Prem Kiran was active on Facebook. With the help of Cyber Crime department, Bengaluru and the district police, he was traced being in Dava Bazar, Mumbai and brought to Udupi.
During interrogation in the presence of his father Sridhar, Prem Kiran admitted that he was not interested in studies and wanted to work. He was not kidnapped but had left the house on his own wish, he added.
