Missing fruit merchant found dead, murder suspected
Kundapur: The body of a 36-year-old fruit merchant who was missing for the last three days was found near Herikudur bridge on Saturday,
August 20.
The deceased has been identified as Ganesh (36) resident of Kalibettu Kundapur.
According to the sources, Ganesh was the owner of a fruit stall near Shastri Circle Kundapur. He was missing for the last three days. Following his disappearance, Ganesh’s family members searched everywhere. On Saturday, they planned to file a missing person complaint. But on Saturday morning some residents of Herikudru informed the family members about a body floating in the river near Herikudru Bridge. Immediately the family members informed the police and also went to the place and identified the body.
The Kundapur Police station SI Naseer Hussain rushed to the spot and the body was shifted to the government hospital Kundapur.
Family members said that Ganesh was a well-behaved person. The exact cause of the death will be known once the post-mortem is done.
A case has been registered in the Kundapur Police Station.
