Missing Gratian and Praveen found dead in Karinje, Moodbidri
Moodbidri: Two men were found dead at Karinje on March 22, after they had gone missing since March 20.
The deceased have been identified as Gratian Rodrigues (34) and Praveen Tauro (37).
It is learnt that, on March 20, Gratian and Praveen have gone for trekking by Bolero vehicle to Karinje hills. But they never returned home. The family members waited for a day so that they may return home but their vehicle was found near Bakyaru hills. The family members then filed a missing persons complaint on March 22 in the Moodbidri police station.
The police got into action and started to search for Gratian and Praveen in Bakyaru and nearby areas with the help of locals. During the search operations, both Gratian and Praveen’s bodies were found lying in a field in Bakyaru with burn injuries.
It is suspected that Gratian and Praveen had come into contact with the electric wire which was installed to hunt animals.
A case has been registered in the Moodbidri police station.
