Missing John D’Silva’s skeleton found
Udupi: The skeleton of a senior citizen who went missing on May 26 from Brahmavar was found in the forest area of Uppoor Jathabettu near Kolalgiri on Sunday, September 11.
On May 26, John D’Silva(72), a resident of Baikadi Brahmavar had left home to pay the telephone bill, but never returned home nor did he contact his family, even searching for him did not bear any results. His wife Leena D’Silva then filed a missing person’s complaint in the Brahmavar Police Station.
On September 11, Michal Furtado of Uppoor informed the police of Brahmavar that a skeleton with shirt and pant was found in the forest area of Uppoor Jathabettu. The police informed Leena D’Silva and visited the spot.
Based on the shirt, trousers and finger ring, the skeleton was identified as that of John D’Silva’s who had been missing since May 26. John D’Silva’s wife Leena D’Silva identified the body. John D’Silva was suffering from memory loss.
A case has been registered in Brahmavar Police station.
