Kundapur: The job fair (Udyoga Mela) organized by the Moodlakatte Institute of Technology Kundapur received a good response here on Saturday, April 30.
The job fair witnessed nearly 2000 students from Udupi and DK district trying their best to get a placement. Over 30 companies from different sectors like IT, hospitality, manufacturing, automobile, healthcare, sales and retail, BPO, Banking and HR agencies participated in the Job fair. More than 800 students were selected for various companies. The selected candidates received offer letters on the spot.
Popular firms like Infosys, Accenture, Mphasis, Hinduja Global Solutions, Wipro, Genisys, Vodafone, Prestige Group, Bharath Automotives, Purvankara, Suzlon, Billionsmiles, Hospitality Pvt Ltd, TVS Training, Y Services Ltd, Softech Design Solutions Pvt Ltd, Nutech Software Pvt Ltd, Teamalease, Daffodils, Flo-Learning Solutions, SV Infra, Regeneriesis, Orient Bell, Manappuram, Nakshatra Construction, Intel-net, HCL, Vodafone, KVB, TML and others participated in the job fair to look for eligible candidates.
Vinay Kumar Sorake district minister in-charge and also state urban development minister inaugurated the Job mela. He lauded the efforts of MITK and said that the institution is not only just providing education to students but also guiding the students in getting jobs.
The Udupi district is on the top in the education sector. A recent survey indicates that Udupi district is leading in imparting quality education. The first place in SSLC examinations, second place in PUC and CET examinations at the state level are a testimony of the quality teaching in our district schools. 8th rank in civil service examinations is a feather in our cap. There are a lot of opportunities for the students in various sectors. He called upon the students to make use of the facilities and succeed in life.
Further, the minister said that students should have a dream and zeal in life to achieve their goal. Along with studies, students should dream about their future life. Courage, grit, and determination will help in facing challenges without any problems. Students should inculcate the value of determination in life and face the challenges with courage, he added.
The minister also assured that he will help to set-up skill development training center in MITK with the help of district Industrial Corporation in the coming years.
