MLA Harish Poonja’s Rowdy Attitude, Insult to People of Belthangady – Harish Kumar
Mangaluru: “MLA Harish Poonja is acting like a Rowdy which is condemnable. Former Belthangady MLA Vasanth Bangera was a humble man and he worked for the people of his constituency. Harish Poonja has insulted the people of Belthangady by his rowdy attitude”, said Congress District President Harish Kumar during a press meet held at the district Congress office, Mallikatta on May 23.
Addressing the media persons Harish Kumar said, “MLA Harish Poonja has crossed all limits by supporting a Rowdy sheeter who was arrested for illegal mining. It is an insult to the police and the people of Belthangady. It is MLA Poonja’s routine to insult the police officers. There is an involvement of BJP in DJ Halli and KJ Halli violence. When police went to MLA Harish Poonja’s house to arrest him, he was hiding. The video clips show who was afraid of the police”.
Harish Kumar further said, “BJP is involved in breaking the law and order in the state. MLA Poonja is childish to talk about CM Siddaramaiah. Harish Poonja should resign. If he has the guts, let him contest in the reelection and win. We have never seen such an MLA in Belthangady”.
