MLA Lobo Inaugurates BPL Card Registration Camp at Kadri
Mangaluru: MLA J R Lobo inaugurated the ration card registration camp for BPL families at Kadri Shivbagh here on March 2.
After inaugurating the camp, MLA J R Lobo speaking to mangalorean.com said, “In the Mangaluru South Constituency, many families had applied for the BPL cards and their applications were pending. For those who have already applied for the BPL cards and for the new applicants, we have started a camp at Kadri Shivabagh. We will issue the BPL cards on the spot if all the necessary documents are in order.”
MLA Lobo further said, “We have planned to issue the cards for two days if there are more applicants we will extend the camp. It is mandatory to provide the Aadhar card, Income Certificate and acknowledgement slip of the application. The BPL cards will be issued on the spot. We expect many BPL families to benefit from this camp.”
MLA Lobo also said, “We will also accept applications from those who do not have the ration card. So far we have received 200 applications, until evening we will receive more applications for which ration cards will be issued.”
