MLA Lobo Inspects Trial Run of Unique Musical Fountain at Kadri Park

Mangaluru: The Trial run of the Musical Fountain was held at the Kadri Park here on April 17.

MLA J R Lobo, Mayor Kavitha Sanil, Former Mayor Mahabala Marla, MUDA Chairman Suresh Ballal and others watched the trial run of the Musical Fountain.

Speaking to mangalorean.com MLA J R Lobo said, “The Government of Karnataka has sanctioned Rs 5 crores to establish the Musical Fountain in Mangaluru. The Mangaluru Urban Development Authority is implementing this project. Along with the government of Karnataka grants, the MUDA has also contributed towards the project and the MCC is also required to contribute. By the end of this month, we will inaugurate the Musical Fountain”.

Lobo further said, “Today we have seen the trail run of this project and the script. Further fine tuning is required for the script. We will sit with the project implementing team to discuss the fine tuning of this project. This is only a trial to see how it will come up. Further, we will sit with the implementing team and give some suggestions to make it more appealing and informative”.

Lobo also said, “This is a unique project for Mangaluru and only a few cities in Karnataka have it. In Mangaluru we need to have one of the best Musical Fountain. As the State government has sanctioned a large chunk of money we will invite Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to inaugurate the Musical Fountain”.

Speaking to mangalorean.com Mayor Kavitha Sanil said, “We have witnessed the Musical Fountain. I am very happy and lucky to have such a Wonderful Musical Fountain in Mangaluru. The project is praiseworthy because the entire history of Tulunadu has been projected in the Musical Fountain. I would like to thank the state government for sanctioning a lot of funds fore the Musical Fountain at the Kadri Park”.

A wonderful initiative by the state government, it would be a wonderful addition for the tourism in the city. With foreign people coming in cruise would get a good evening time out.
