The Chairman of Landmark Infratech Shabbir welcomed the guests with floral bouquets. The project was launched by the MLA of Mangalore South Constituency, J R Lobo by unveiling the brochure of the project. Addressing the gathering, Lobo said that many residential and commercial projects with modern amenities have been coming up in Mangaluru every day. “This is the first time that Landmark Infratech has launched centralized air-conditioned apartments with digital gaming facilities. People from Mangaluru visit other countries and enjoy modern facilities during their stay there. So, when such projects are launched in Mangaluru, they should support the builder.”

Lobo further said, “Today, we are celebrating the World Environment day and Shabbir has taken an initiative to launch a centralized air conditioned apartment project in Pandeshwar. It is a good thought that he is providing all the modern amenities to his customers. But along with that, Shabbir has to give priority to a greener environment. If you cut one tree to build an apartment, you have to plant four saplings.” Lobo also said that nowadays we see plants on the walls. “It does not serve its true purpose. For fresh air and a better environment, we need plants that are planted on the ground.”

Lobo also stressed that Mangaluru is a fast growing city and requires basic facilities. Every day new apartments are coming up but the population is not growing proportionately. For fresh air, we need trees and it is the duty of every builder to retain greenery and not just make their buildings beautiful.

Recalling his childhood, Lobo said, “When I was small, I did not hear about Bisleri water but now without it, we do not organize any programmes. Before, we were drinking water from the wells, which was scientifically very healthy. Now, the city is highly polluted and in the coming years, we may even have to carry oxygen cylinders with us while we go out if we do not take care of the environment.”

MUDA Chairman Ibrahim Kodijal speaking on the occasion said that Mangaluru is the second fastest growing city in the state after Bengaluru. He stressed on the need for peace and harmony as the city keeps on growing. He congratulated Shabbir and the Landmark team for bringing innovation in Mangaluru by launching digital gaming and centralized AC Apartments.

Iqbal from Bengaluru briefed on the project. Chairman of Landmark Infratech Shabbir and Abdul Khader were also present. Sahil Zahir compered the programme and delivered the vote of thanks.

When elected rep is busy and ignoring the real problems, our local entrepreneurs and private sector are doing a great job of adding higher quality infrastructure. Congratulations!!
