MLA U T Khader Under Self Quarantine after Ivan Tests Positive for Coronavirus
Mangaluru: The MLA of Ullal Constituency U T Khader is undergoing Self Quarantine after former MLC Ivan D’Souza tested positive for the coronavirus, on August 1.
On July 31, D K Shivakumar had visited Mangaluru to meet the Congress leaders and party workers after becoming the President of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC). During the press meet held at the Congress office, U T Khader was sitting next to Ivan D’Souza.
In his tweeter message, U T Khader has said, “Have gone into self-quarantine with immediate effect after receiving the news about #Covid_19 positive test of Former MLC Ivan D’Souza & his wife Dr Kavitha. Being COVID In-charge of DK District taskforce committee, I am one among Ivan’s primary contact”.
He further tweeted, “I am going to discharge my duties from home for the next few days. You can reach out over the phone at any point in time. I appeal to all my colleagues and friends who may have come in contact with us in the last few days to get tested for #Covid_19 “.
He also tweeted, “Wishing A speedy recovery to Ivan D’Souza and Dr Kavita and all those who are infected with #COVID_19. My humble appeal to the people “Say No to panic”, “Yes to precaution”! Early Detection is the best prevention! Let us together defeat”.
U T Khader has requested all those who were in close proximity with Ivan D’Souza in the last few days to get themselves under self-quarantine.
