MLA Yashpal Suvarna demands Gadkari to construction of flyover at Kalsanka Junction to ease traffic congestion
Udupi MLA Yashpal Suvarna has urged Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari to construct a flyover at the Kalsanka Junction to ease traffic congestion in Udupi city.
In a memorandum submitted through MP Kota Srinivas Poojary, Suvarna highlighted the growing traffic congestion in Udupi city, particularly at the Kalsanka Junction, which is a crucial point connecting the city’s central areas, including Manipal, Ambagilu, and the famous Sri Krishna Math.
The junction is a major bottleneck where traffic jams worsen during holidays. To address this issue, Suvarna has requested Gadkari to construct a flyover at the Kalsanka Junction through the National Highways Authority.
The Udupi City Municipal Council will also pass a resolution to this effect in its next meeting. Suvarna informed MP Kotta Srinivas Poojary about the issue, and Poojary has assured him that he would take up the matter with Gadkari and request him to grant approval for the construction of the flyover at the earliest.
