Mangaluru : Addressing the media persons during a press meet held at Mangaluru Press Club, Marcel Monteiro, the President of MMA said, “Mangalore Management Association (Est. in 1979), affiliated to All India Management Association has been actively involved in various endeavors contributing to the excellence of Management Profession in the undivided Dakshina Kannada district. Identifying and conferring ‘Outstanding Manager Award’ every year to a leader in Industry or services for contribution to the social and economic well being of the society, is a flagship program of the MMA. This year, Walter D’ Souza, leading industrialist, has been selected for the coveted award”

He further said, “Walter D’Souza had been the chairman of Federation of South India Export Organization and the Cashew Export Council of India. A veteran in the cashew industry, he also served in various top positions of Governmental and non-Governmental organizations in Export trade and won various awards and recognition for his yeomen service to the cashew industry”
The award ceremony will be held on Sunday the 10th November 2019 at 6 30 PM at Hotel Ocean Pearl Conference Hall, Mangaluru. Mahabaleshwar M. S., Managing Director of Karnataka Bank Ltd., will be the chief guest and would confer the award on Walter D’Souza. Jairaj Rai, Vice President, Dr. Gayathri Babu, Jt. Secretary, Dr Narayan Kayarkatte-Treasurer and Dr. Devaraj -Co-opted Member were present on the dais during the press meet. Former recipient of MMA Award M R Vasudev Rao, the former Mangalore International Airport Director also graced the press meet.
