Modi and Yogi do not know the Pain of Women and girls – Pratibha Kulai
Mangaluru: “The recent incident of an 8-year-old girl who was raped and brutally murdered in Kathua is a shameful act. The innocent girl was brutally gang raped and killed which all the women should condemn. Even my daughter Prathvi condemns this act because she is also 8-year-old. It is very shameful for all the women to called as Indian Women. Tomorrow the so-called BJP Hindus will pelt stones at me for my statement. I am also a Hindu but my religion has taught me to love the people of other faith. In this world there are only two categories, they are males and females. Many infants including elderly women have been raped in our country. The government and the law in our country do not provide safety for girls and women. I really feel ashamed to call myself a Mangalorean woman. Modi and Yogi do not know the pain of women and girls”, said corporator Pratibha Kulai in a press meet held at the DCC office Mallikatta here on April 16.
Addressing the mediapersons Pratibha Kulai said, “5 Years ago I was not in any party, but the pub attack and the homestay attack has put me in shame. We call ourselves educated and DK is called as an education hub where some behave in an uncivilized manner. I too have suffered a lot from the so-called BJP Hindus who did not allow me to campaign for the elections. They stopped me from campaigning in my ward. Now since the Assembly elections are nearing, I urge all the women to think before casting their valuable votes. Because we need a government which can provide protection for girls and women”.
Pratibha Kulai further said, “During the last elections while I was campaigning they stopped me, but I I won the elections. On that day a group of 30 so-called BJP Hindus came to my house and harassed me and my family members a lot. They even relieved on my car which was parked outside my house. I am also a Hindu and my own Hindu brothers (So-called BJP Hindus) troubled me a lot during the last corporation elections. I have filed a case in the court and from the past five years, I have been visiting the court for the case. While I attend the court for the case, those who had troubled me harass me there too. I request all the women to think before they vote since during Modi’s rule we have witnessed the highest crime rate in our country.”
Pratibha Kulai also said, “Narendra Modi does not know how to respect women because he has left his wife after marriage. Another Yogi is also not married and does not know the pain of Women and girls. Those who are not married or have left their wives do not know the pain of women or girls. I request all the women to chose good leaders so that we can live safely and peacefully”.
