Modi Speaks of Mann ki Baath While Congress Listens to Jann ki Baath – Ramanath Rai

Mangaluru: “In the last elections out of the 8 constituencies we had won 7 but this time we will win all the 8 constituencies. The BJP government has no issues to go to the people so they are trying to play with the sentiments of the people and asking votes in the name of Hinduism. When Modi was speaking Mann ki Baath, Congress was listening to Jann ki baath”, said the district minister in-charge Ramanath Rai in a press meet held at DCC Mallikatta here on April 10.

Addressing the mediapersons Ramanath Rai said, “When the UPA government was in power the price of oil in the international market was $140 and the petrol price was only Rs 65 but now the oil price in the international market is just $40 to $50 but the petrol price is all time high. When UPA government was in power the price for a cooking gas cylinder was only Rs 380 but now its Rs 800. BJP leaders during the time of UPA government had protested for the hike in the price of petrol but now they are maintaining silence. GST and demonetization have put the common man in trouble”.

Ramanath Rai further said, “When BJP came to power Modi asked for 100 days to bring back the black money from Swiss banks and credit Rs 15 lakh into the account of every citizen. But now it is almost four years, Modi has failed to keep his promise. BJP does not have an agenda to go to the people, so they are going to the people in the name of Hinduism. Congress government waived the loan of the farmers but the NDA government has helped only the rich by waiving their loans. Now while the NDA government is in power there is Facebook data leak, Aadhar information leak, CBSC paper leak and the date for Elections has also leaked. Some of the BJP leaders were even aware of the demonetization of currency much before. During Modi’s government, many rich people cheated the banks and fled to foreign countries. Now people do not want Mann ki Baath from Modi but they want someone to listen to their baath.”

When asked about Prabhakar Bhat targetting U T Khader in Ullal Constituency instead of Bantwal, Ramanath Rai said, “We believe in Bhootharadhane but Prabhakar Bhat is questioning the deities. I do not want to comment on Prabhakar Bhat.”

DCC President Harish Kumar, Sashidhar Hedge, Dhananjay, Mamatha Gatti, Santhosh Shetty, Padmanabh Naringana, Deepak and others were also present.
