Mogaveera Helpline to hold Badminton Tournament on August 14
Mangaluru: Inspired by several NGOs and their great services to society, a group of enthusiastic Mogaveeera community members with common interests recently floated an idea of creating a platform called “Mogaveera Helpline”, a non-profit organisation to interact and help people of the community in need and with a good deed. Hundreds of them have now voluntarily enrolled to become a part of this new venture to extend their selfless service to its community people and the strength of the members is simply growing day by day.
No doubt, it is written high and bold in the pages of history that the people of the Mogaveera community are well known for their sacrifice, courage, simplicity, sincerity and above all their unity, of which they are very proud of.
Based on such moral grounds and ethics, Mogaveera Helpline is designed with a vision to stage a suitable platform pushing for sustainable growth and development of the community in various social, cultural, educational, health and livelihood programs.
Mogaveera Helpline believes that the combined service criteria through experienced hands will inculcate a concrete base for sustainable growth, enhanced talent exposure, various developmental activities and programs to propagate and cater in sectors like sports, education, art, music, career development, social justice, upholding community traditions and all such possible sectors concerning the Mogaveera community.
Mogaveera Helpline is intending to strive through and extend selfless and dedicated social service in following core values:
1. Research
2. Development
3. Support
4. Collaboration
By efforts of continuous learning, innovation, and feedback, MH believes in a culture inherited through its traditional values that it can help in creating a true impact.
MH’s initial focus of approach is defined with following objectives:
1. Community Development Projects
2. Awareness and Advocacy
3. Civic Engagement Camps
4. Volunteerism
5. Mogaveera Relief Initiatives
A group of members had a meeting on 24th July 2016 at the Mogaveera Vyvasthapaka Mandali Office in Surathkal so as to discuss and formulate its action plan and the way forward. To start with, it was decided that a Badminton Tournament would be organised on 14th August 2016. Since India is celebrating its 70th Independence Day on 15th of August this year, the planned badminton tournament will act as a precursor to the celebration and will attract a special place in the memory lane. The organisers are doing their best to make it a grand event.
Mogaveera Helpline is all set to organise a Badminton Tournament on 14th August 2016 at the U.S. Mallya, Indoor Stadium, Mangaluru. Participation is exclusively for Mogaveera community people. A token registration fee of Rs. 100/- for each event will be charged. Winners will receive a cash prize, trophy, medals, and certificates.
