Monappa Bhandary Alleges interference of Rai and Khader in Ullal assault Case
Mangaluru: “From the past two years there have been continuous attacks on Hindu youth. The Hindu community has been targetted and the innocent have been killed. Prashant Poojary, Raju from Mysuru, Kuttappa from Madikeri, Rudresh from Bengaluru, Ravi from Mysuru, Karthik Raj from Innoli, Raju from Mogaveera Pattana were killed and now the attack on Ram Mohan has created fear in the minds of Hindus. But the culprits have not been arrested. Hindu youth are not safe, when our youth are not safe, how will the girls will be safe in the society. There is a limit for tolerance”, said the convener of Hindu Hitarakshana Vedike Prof M B Puranik in a press meet held at the VHP office here on November 12.
Addressing the mediapersons Puranik said, “We condemn the attack on RSS leader Ram Mohan. In this regard, we have met the police commissioner and submitted a memorandum to take action against those involved in the crime and who are active in Ullal and Konaje area. On November 15, we will hold a protest rally at Thokkottu Junction at 10 a.m. More than 10,000 members from various organizations from Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Kasargod will take part in the protest rally.”
Prof Puranik also said, “Various leaders will deliver speeches against the atrocities on innocent Hindu youth. To maintain peace in the society, we are not involved in any illegal activities, but there is a limit for everything”.
Monappa Bhandary said, “The SDPI and PFI are actively involved in criminal activities. When there is murder the police are also not taking any action against the culprits. Many innocent youths have been killed. When Karthik Raj was on his morning walk, he was attacked unidentified criminals and killed. From the past two years, a number of murders have taken place but police have not taken action. All the attacks are similar, in all the assaults, miscreants used a pulsar bike. We suspect that the attackers come from Kerala, attack innocent people and flee. There are CCTV cameras installed in all the places but because of the interference of political leaders, there is no progress in the investigations and that should be stopped. The Hindu community is not safe, police should provide safety,” he said.
Monappa Bhandary speaking alleged. “Minister U T Khader and District minister in-charge Ramanath Rai are indirectly supporting the accused. On November 15, we will protest against the atrocities on the Hindus”.
Sharan Pumpwell, Rajesh Chowta, Kishore Kumar, Gopal Kuthar and Nitesh Bekal were also present.
