Monti Fest Ushers in the Spirit of Harvest in City!
Mangaluru: The parishioners of the Dakshina Kannada district celebrated the feast of Nativity with enthusiasm and devotion here on September 8.
The procession of the Bambina of Infant Mary was held in all the Churches. People marched in a procession carrying the new grown Paddy corn and children carrying flowers.
At Rosario Cathedral the Parish Priest Fr J B Crasta blessed the newly grown paddy. Later the children offered flowers to the Infant Mary as the congregation sang “Sakkad sangatha melya”.
After the mass, the newly grown paddy corn and sugar canes were distributed to the parishioners in their respective churches.
