In the wake of the murder of Prashant Poojary last month, highly derogatory and damaging posts aimed at damaging his reputation have been appearing the social media. He has stated that he had been running a rolling shutter-making business for many years.

He has also been actively involved in socially beneficent projects and maintained excellent relationship with all communities. In spite of it, miscreants have needlessly dragged his name into the Prashant Poojary murder episode, suggesting that he had financed the miscreants.

The names of his family also have been mentioned in these baseless reports which had caused deep distress and agony to his family members. The Puttige family has been widely respected not only in the surroundings but all over the state. The head of the family had served in religious service for many years.

One of the Puttige brothers heads a media house, another isa leading builder while the third is a highly-placed police official.

The purpose of the faceless campaign in the media is thought to be jealousy and possible blackmail.
