Moodbidri Police arrest House Burglar, Recover Gold Worth Rs 7 Lakh
Moodbidri: The Moodbidri Police arrested a house burglar in connection with various house burglary in Mariyadi here on November 18.
The arrested has been identified as Lokesh Shettigar (19) from Urki, Badaga Yedapadav.
On getting reliable information about the whereabouts of the accused, the Moodbidri police got into action and arrested Lokesh from Badaga Yedapadav.
On August 28 Lokesh had broken into a house at Maroor and stolen gold ornaments, on September 25 he had entered the house of Sadashiv Acharya at Karinje, on September 25 he broke into Vijay Kumar’s House at Pranthya Gram, on October 11 into Dinesh Naik’s house at Beluvai and on October 22 into the house of Kishore at Puttige. The Moodbidri police recovered 221 grams of gold ornaments, a motorbike and 10 mobile phones all worth Rs 7 lakh from his possession.
Under the direction of police commissioner T R Suresh and under the able guidance of DCP Law and order Hanumantharaya, DCP Crime and Traffic Uma Prashanth and ACP Rajendra D S, the operation was carried out by the Moodbidri police inspector Ramachandra Nayak, Shankar Nayari, Dejappa, Rajesh, Surendra, Umesh, Akhil Ahamed, Sujan, Chandrahas Rai, Yashwanth Kumar and Govind.
