MP Shobha tells SP Nimbargi to Stop Arrest of Innocent Hindu Activists in Husainabba case

Udupi: A delegation led by Udupi-Chikmagaluru MP Shobha Karndlaje on Monday night met SP Laxman Nimbargi and asked him to stop torturing the Sangh Parivar activists in connection with the suspicious death of cattle trader Husainabba in Perdoor.

During the interaction, Karandlaje requested the SP to stop arresting innocent Sangh Parivar activists in the said case. “There is no connection of the Hindu activists in Husainabba’s case, his death may have been due to health issues,” she said. Karandlaje also asked the SP to recall Rafeeq, in-charge SI of Hiriyadka to Udupi. She also informed the SP that the district BJP and Sangh Parivar will be organizing a huge protest against the state government on June 6 and requested permission for the same.

Speaking to media persons, Karandlaje said, “Our activists have given information about the illegal cattle transportation to the Hiriyadka police. As per our activists’ information, the Hiriyadka SI and his team go into action. Husainabba and those along with him were alerted about the police operation and tried to escape when they tried to reverse the vehicle, Husainabba died due to his health condition.”

“Sources said that Husainabba was suffering from heart problems and may have died due to a heart attack. The exact reason for his death would come out after the post-mortem examination report. The Sangh Parivar is in no way related to this death,” she added.

Karandlaje accused the police of attacking activists of the Hindu organizations following the incident. She also said, “Rafeeq who is the in-charge SI of Hiriyadka is harassing activists of the Hindu organizations. The SP should immediately recall him to Udupi.”

She further said, “The newly formed state coalition government is trying to harass the BJP and Sangh Parivar activists. The police who were arrested in the case are the only accused. We have requested the SP to release the innocent Sangh Parivar workers without torturing them. The District BJP and Sangh Parivar will be organizing a huge protest against the state government on June 6.”

MLAs Raghupathi Bhat, Lalaji R Mendon, Sukumar Shetty, BJP State Secretary Thingale Vikramarjuna Hegde, State Committee member Uday Kumar Shetty, District BJP president Mattar Rathnakar Hegde, ZP president Dinakar Babu and others were present.

A good example in India – Politicians above the law!
Whatever the case, the Police should be allowed to
do their job, Politicians should not be allowed to
dictate or instigate an investigation in a felony case.
