Mubashir assault case – Two Arrested in Suratkal
Mangaluru: The Anti-rowdy Squad from Panambur North Sub Division succeeded in arresting the accused in the Mubashir assault case at Suratkal here on January 10.
The arrested have been identified as Yashodhar (20) from Idya Suratkal and Pretham alias Gaudappa (20) a native of Bagalkote presently residing at Minakaliya, Baikampady.
On January 3, Deepak Rao was brutally murdered by a group in Suratkal. On the same day in the evening when Mubashir was waiting in Suratkal, two youth came on a motorbike and assaulted Mubashir in revenge for Deepak’s murder and fled from the spot.
Under the leadership of Panambur police Inspector, a special team was formed to nab the assailants. On January 10 the police succeeded in arresting the accused. Both the accused have been handed over to the Suratkal police station for further investigations.
Under the direction of Police Commissioner T R Suresh and the able guidance of DCP Law and Order Hanumantharaya, DCP Crime and Traffic Uma Prashanth, the operation was carried out by the Anti-rowdy squad headed by Police inspector Rafiq K M, ASI Mohammed, Kushal Maniyani, Satish, Isaaq, Krishna B K, Vijay Kanchan, Sharan Kali, Chandrahas Alva and Radhakrishna.
