Mudslide in Kaup, Two labourers buried alive
Udupi: In a tragic incident, two labourers were buried alive while they were occupied with the underground drainage work in Kaup Municipality limits on February 27.
The deceased have been identified as Dasappa (49) and Umesh (41) residents of Chitradurga.
According to the police, the UGD work was under progress in Kaup Municipality limits from the past one month. On February 27, while Umesh and Dasappa were working at the Chamber there was a mud slide. The locals along with Soori Shetty rushed to the spot and tried to rescue the labours.
Both the labourers were pulled out and rushed to the hospital, but were pronounced brought dead by the Doctors .
A case has been registered in the Kaup Police station.
