Mumbai: “Nirmillem Chukana” a Konkani stage play of the well known dramatist Joseph D’Souza was staged on 26 Jan at Mary Immaculate Ground Borivli by Konkani Sanskrutik Sangh. The stage play was directed by William Machado, Borivli.
The programme started with a stage function at 6:30 pm. Local corporator Abhishek Gosalkar and Fr Lancy D’Silva the parish priest of St Louis Church Dahisar were the guests for the programme. Dramatist Francis Fernandes Cascia and William Machado were honoured during the occasion.
The drama started at 7:00 pm sharp. George Sequeira Bhayander, Ronald D’Costa Vasai, Helen Noronha Mira Road, Bibiana Lobo Borivli, Romeo Lobo Borivli, Juliana D’Souza Bhayander, Ida Pereira Bhayander, Felix D’Souza Malvani and Henry D’Souza Borivli played different roles in the stage play. Music by Benjamin Miranda, Sound effects were by Autotech. Songs by Charles D’Cunha, Franky and Sunita D’Souza also lent their voice for the songs. Makeup was done by Sandeep and stage setting by Gavli.
People enjoyed the hilarious roles of Cyril Monis and Felix D’Souza Malvani very much. All the artistes did justice to their roles. The next show of ‘Nirmillem Chukana’ will be on 27th March at Bhayander.
