Music Does Not Have Religion or Boundaries – Salim-Sulaiman
Mangaluru: “Music does not have any religion or boundaries”, said superhit Singers Salim-Sulaiman in a press meet held at hotel Taj Gateway here on March 10.
Answering queries of journalists on the controversial Bhajan being sung by Suhana, Salim-Sulaiman said, “The incident is unfortunate. One should not give religious colour to Music because Music does not have any religion or boundaries”.
Salim-Sulaiman further said, “Even we have sung bhajans and other devotional Hindu songs. It is not right to oppose if any Muslim girl sings Bhajan’s. If Suhana has sung the Bhajan, there is nothing wrong in it. It is called love for music. Everyone has their own choice. We cannot help those who are against Suhana for singing the Bhajan’s”. If a certain Islamic group does not like Suhana singing the Bhajan we can’t help it.
“If someone who loves to sing the Bhajan during the competition it is their wish, there is nothing wrong in it”, said Salim-Sulaiman.
