Nalike Samaja Urges to File Criminal Case against Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat
Mangaluru: “Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat has insulted the Nalike community and the Bhoota Kola performers in public at Kairangala during a Protest there. A criminal case should be filed against Prabhakar Bhat under the Prevention of Atrocities against Dalits act 1989 and put him behind bars”, said the President of the Beltangady Taluk Committee S Prabhakar in a press meet held at the Press Club here on April 11.
Addressing the mediapersons Prabhakar said, “The Dalit community has been discriminated since ages saying “All Hindus are one”, and this has continued to this day. Prabhakar Bhat has now proved it by saying that Bhoota Kola performers are mentally unsound (Bhoota Kattunayag Mande Sari Ijji). All over the country, the RSS and BJP leaders have discriminated the Dalit Community. Prabhakar Bhat said that the Bhoota Kola performers are mentally unsound but Bhat himself is mentally unsound because he is delivering inciting speeches wherever he goes and creating communal violence. He has many criminal cases filed against him in various police stations. Such a person having criminal background does not have any moral right to talk about Bhoota Kola performers.”
Prabhakar further said, “The Nalike community is deeply hurt by the statement of Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat since it is a tradition of Tulunadu to distribute Prasadam to those who attend the Bhoota Kola performance. But Prabhakar Bhat has proved his fake Hindutva and communalism. Bhat has insulted our beliefs and tradition which the Nalike community will not tolerate.”
Prabhakar also said, “Prabhakar Bhat had said that the Temple which U T Khader had visited should be purified. But Prabhakar Bhat forgot that many Muslims have visited the Sri Rama Mandir in Kalladka. Instead of calling other people to do the Brahmakalashotsava in Temples where U T Khader had visited, let Bhat Clean his own Mandir in Kallakda and return the money which has been donated by Muslims. Is Bhat ready to return the donations made by the Muslims?”.
“Prabhakar Bhat has also questioned the Model Code of Conduct openly and tried to keep the Election commission under his control exposing his arrogance. We have already filed a complaint with the Beltangady police station. The district administration should take action against Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat. If not the Dalit community will stage a protest in the coming days”, warned Prabhakar.
General Secretary Shyam Sundar, Harish Navoor and Ramu Shishila were also present.
