Nalin is Hiding After Tweeting against Rajiv Gandhi, should Make him Hide Permanently – Mithun Rai
Mangaluru: “Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated 28 years ago. It is a great loss for the Congress and the entire country. If Rajiv Gandhi was alive our country would have been in first place at the international level. Nalin Kumar Kateel tweeted on Social media that Rajiv Gandhi was a traitor. Nalin Kumar with the help of someone has tweeted on social media because he is not educated. We cannot tolerate anyone calling Rajiv Gandhi a traitor. We should raise our voice against those insulting former PM Rajiv Gandhi”, said MP Candidate Mithun Rai during the 28th death anniversary of Rajiv Gandhi at the DCC office, Mallikatta here on May 21.
Addressing the gathering Mithun Rai said, “Rajiv Gandhi was an inspiration for all the youth. He brought down the voting age to 18 years so that the youth could play a role in politics. But MP Nalin Kumar Kateel tweeted that Rajiv Gandhi was a traitor which we strongly condemn. Every congress party worker should condemn this and give a befitting reply to Nalin. Nalin Kumar has insulted people of the entire country by calling Rajiv Gandhi a ‘traitor’. When everyone started to react to the tweet, Nalin deleted the tweet and has gone hiding somewhere. We will make him hide permanently.”
Mithun Rai further said, “We the Congress family should unitedly fight against those who insult or talk negatively about Rajiv Gandhi or those who have sacrificed their lives for the country. In our country, the NDA government has created such a situation that Nathuram Godse and those involved in terror acts are looked upon as heroes while those who sacrificed their lives for the country are being insulted. Democracy in danger, if we need to save democracy, unity, harmony and brotherhood in our country, we need to strengthen Rajiv Gandhi’s son Rahul Gandhi.”
