National level workshop on ‘Computer Networking’ begins in MITK
Kundapur: A National level workshop on “Computer Networking” organized by Computer Science Department of Moodlakatte Institute of Technology was inaugurated at the college premises on Thursday, October 20.
The workshop was inaugurated by Neeraj Kumar, senior network engineer and representative of IIT, Hyderabad.
In his inaugural message, Neeraj Kumar said that “Students can learn any technology by experimentation”. He also said, “Engineering students should have the ability to solve complex problems and make them Easy”.
The president of the event Dr Mohandas Bhat, the Principal of MITK said: “In the current technical era, students should not restrict themselves to syllabus but explore different technologies”.
In the workshop being conducted by MITK with co-participation of IIT, Hyderabad, 65 students from different colleges have participated. On the last day of the workshop, a championship will be held to select 3 students who will participate in the final round of the championship to be held in IIT, Delhi.
Prof. Melwin D’Souza, HOD, Dept of CSE said “MITK has been selected as the Zonal center for IIT, Bhubaneswar and IIT, Hyderabad. The organisation will conduct more workshops in the coming days to increase practical knowledge of the students”.
