NDRF holds Community Sensitization programme on Disaster Management to HG

Mangaluru: The Community sensitization programme on disaster management for Home Guards was held at the Police grounds here on May 4.

The sensitization programme began with welcoming the guests. Addressing the home guards Team Commander of NDRF Rasul said, Today we have demonstrated few skills which can be helpful during floods or accidents. There will be incidents in our day-to-day life and being a home guard it is your duty to protect the public as well as yourself. Through this sensitization programme, I hope you have understood the skills to provide assistance during golden hour.”

Team Commander NDRF, G Manoharan speaking on the occasion said, “The community awareness programme on disaster management will help all the home guards to help people during the time of flood or accidents. The Home guards can also go to the public and demonstrate these life-saving skills. Mangaluru being a coastal city may face severe floods. Make use of the skills help the people during the time of crisis and save lives.”

Javed from NDRF Belgaum Division, Karnataka briefed on the life-saving skills. Home Guards Commandant Dr Muralee Choontharu delivered the vote of thanks.
