Udupi: We have to change our mindset and teach our children to respect women said Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan she was answering the questions raised by media persons on the Bengaluru molestation incident.
Police and the government should take action and at the same time, society should play a prominent role in protecting women. Similar type of incidents are reported in the country, society should play a very important part in teaching children to respect women.
She was in the temple town to attend the All India Samskrit Sammelan organised Sri Krishna Math, Udupi.
Earlier she had obtained the darshan of Sri Krishna Mukhyaprana and received the blessing of Prayaya Sri Vishwesha Thirtha Swamiji of Pejawar Math. She was honoured by the Paryaya Pejawar Swamiji.
Shobha Karandlaje MP Udupi-Chikkamagaluru, Raghupathi Bhat former MLA Udupi, Mattar Rathnakar Hegde district BJP Chief, Uday Kumar Shetty state BJP leader and others were present.
