Negative Publicity of BJP will bring Victory to Congress – Ramanath Rai
Mangaluru: “The Assembly elections are nearing and we are preparing for the same. In the last assembly elections we had won 7 seats out of the 8 but this year we have full confidence in winning in all the 8 constituencies. We will ask votes based on the development but BJP has no agenda and so is indulging in negative publicity. Negative publicity of the BJP will bring Victory to the Congress in the Assembly elections,” said Ramanath Rai in a press meet held at the DCC office here on May 8.
Addressing the mediapersons Ramanath Rai said, “All the MLAs have worked hard for their respective constituencies. But the opposition leaders are putting baseless allegations on the Congress. They bring their national leaders to deliver speeches but do not mention the development work in the state. Even the MP of Dakshina Kannada was saying that the district minister in-charge is developing his own constituency which proves that BJP is aware of the development work done by Congress MLAs in Dakshina Kannada. In the five years of our tenure, the district has seen a lot of development work which has never been done before by the BJP.”
Senior Congress leaders U B Venkatesh, Secretary of All India Congress Committee Shanimol Usman, DCC President Harish Kumar, Ibrahim Kodijal and others were also present.
