From the past 5 years, the train has stopped running in the park. Due to some reasons, we were unable to start running the train. At present, work of the new train is in progress at the Railway workshop in Mysuru. The track work has been under taken by the Nirmithi Kendra. The total cost of the train is Rs 1.09 crore and the work will complete in three months. By November the new children’s train will chug off at the Kadri Park.”

Lobo further said, “The musical fountain work has also been completed and we are planning to inaugurate the Musical Fountain as well as the Children’s train by inviting the Chief Minister and Minister for Women and Child Welfare because the Women and Child Welfare department has taken special interest in having a children’s train in the park. Hope Nirmithi Kendra will complete the work in time.”
