New Delhi: Barring the chilly weather between 23-24 degree celsius, yours truly is in the Capital city of India-New Delhi to cover the finale of Elite Miss India 2015 to be held tonite (Saturday, 21 November) at 7pm at luscious green lawns of Palm Green Hotel and Resort, organized by Elite India Pageant in association with Fashion abcd-Mangaluru ( who also have branches in Mumbai, Bengaluru and Ludhiana)
Small foot steps…. has made the organizers to reach so far.. After successful Auditions in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Jharkhand and Delhi- the final day has arrived to select Elite Miss India 2015 among the 22 finalists. For the last couple of days the 22 damsels have been rigorously practicing and are being groomed for the big finale night. Providing a platform to seek encourage and natural hidden beauty and talent across the country help fulfill their aspirations and dreams, is the main motto behind organizing this pageant- which is also aimed for a good cause, a awareness campaign launched by PM Narendra Modi on the occasion of International Day of the Girl Child, where he had called for the eradication of female foeticide -“Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao”.
22 female contestants from different Indian states have made it to the finale, namely Sonal Chawan (Mumbai), Prarthana Subramani (Karnataka), Amanpreet Karnawal (Rajasthan), Priya Chowdary (Andhra Pradesh), Namrata Sharma (Mumbai), Monika Dwivedi (Uttar Pradesh), Nisha Rajput (Mumbai), Vashundhra (Delhi), Aishwarya Rawat (Delhi), Upasana Roy Chowdary (Karnataka), Romi Ningombany (Manipur), Tsenda (Tibet), Akshata Sonawane (Mumbai), Akshaya Alsi (Mumbai-representing Gujarath), Mercy Jill Jill (Kerala), Heena kaur (Delhi), Diksha Rajput (Madhya Pradesh), Khushi Mahato (Jharkhand), Nancy Sharma ( Chandigarh-Punjab), Riya Palekar (Goa), Mahi Kolwekar (Karnataka) and Sushmitha Gowda (Karnataka)
The temperature soared to a notch higher today as the finalists of this Elite Miss India pageant were unveiled amidst lot of fanfare. Out of the many aspiring contestants who were a part of this pageant 22 beauties finally made it to the final cut. These girls come one step closer to living their dream of winning the crown. Speaking during the grooming session, Arun Ratna, the International Choreographer from Dubai said, “These 22 finalists are an eclectic mix of beauty and brains. For the past couple of days and today it has been an experience of a lifetime for these girls as they will train with the best in the grooming, fashion and lifestyle business. I am sure they feel proud being a part of the Elite Miss India and aspire to be the next reigning beauty queens.”
During the grooming/practice the girls portrayed perfect blend of grace, style and poise. During one session where the girls attired themselves in their traditional outfits, it signified elegance, fashionable and absolutely feminine. Adding gleam to the garments were the swish hemlines that made the garments look effortlessly stylish yet dainty at the same time. Not only this; the girls looked extremely striking and stunning in jewellery.
Speaking to Mangalorean.com, the promoter of Elite Miss India 2015, Naresh Madaan from Delhi, along with his associate event partner, Charan Suvarna from Mangaluru (Founder of Fashion abcd) said, “Elite Miss India is a unique pageant which scouts for beauty and talent from across the country. Many of our sponsors, including Palm Green Resort have helped us in this pageant, thereby launching new talent across the platforms of fashion, beauty and lifestyle. We are really happy to host this pageant as it is a fashion forward market for us and we got some of the best talent from across the country. Next year we will be organizing Elie Mrs India 2016. The judges for tonight’s finale will be Akila K Reddy (Miss USA Asia 2014), Sonal Monteiro (Tulu and Kannada actress-Mangaluru ), Sandhya Madaan (Celebrity Hair Stylist-Delhi), Dr Siddarth Naik- Smile Dental Surgeon-a Mangalurean based in Mumbai), Santhosh Shetty ( Entrepreneur/City Cable- also a Mangalurean based in Mumbai), Archana Tomar (Fashion Designer-Delhi) and Nevidita (Social worker-Delhi)
Elite Miss India is also proud to announce its association with Kannada film “Abhisaarike”, where a scene will be shot during tonight’s pageant finale, where Mangalorean actress Sonal Monteiro will walk on the ramp as part of the scene-the movie will be released in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. Also out of 22 finalists for today’s pageant, Prarthana Subramani is a student at Besant Women’s College-Mangaluru- she was the first runners up in the ‘Campus Princess’ award – which was held for the first time in Mangaluru -she was selected to directly take part in the Miss India contest, which is organized by Miss India Organisation in association with Fashion ABCD.
