New Flagpost to be Installed in Kudroli Temple , Brahmakalashotsava from Feb 10
Mangaluru: “The flagpost and the Brahmakalashotsava Shree Gokarnanatha Kshetra will be held from February 10 to 17 in the presence of Shivagiri Matadhipati Brahmashree Vishudananda Swamiji and the spiritual guidance of Tanthri Sri Sugadananda of Shivagiri Math and Chief Archaka of the Kshetra Sri Laxman Shanthi in accordance with the religious rites”, said the treasurer of Kudroli temple Padmaraj R in a press meet held at the Temple premises here on January 24.
Addressing the media persons Padmaraj said, “The Brahmakalashotsava programme will start from February 10, at 6:30 pm with Guruprathane, Acharya Varna, Ankura Puja and Punyah Puja. On 13, at 4 pm a votive procession (Horekanike) will be held from the Nehru Maidan and culminate at the Kudroli Temple premises. On February 17, at 12:15 pm the Brahmakashabhisheka will be held followed by the Maha Annasantharpane.”
Padmaraj further said, “We have removed the 106-year-old flagpost. A new flagpost will be installed on February 17. Whatever the devotees offer will be utilized for the flagpost. There will be a cultural programme from February 15 to 17.”
Temple Trustee and Senior Congress leader Janardhan Poojary, H S Sairam, Raghavendra Kuloor, Madhava Suvarna, B K Taranath, Ravishankar Mijar, Harikrishna Bantwal, Dr Anasuya B T Salian, Urmila Ramesh Kumar, former MLA Suma Vasanth and others were also present.
