New Mangalore Port Authority Organizes ‘Run for Unity’ as Part of National Observance

New Mangalore Port Authority Organizes ‘Run for Unity’ as Part of National Observance

Mangaluru: In a spirited celebration of National Unity, New Mangalore Port Authority organized the ‘Run for Unity’ today, aligning with the vision set forth by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India. The run was officially flagged off at 7:00 AM by Dr. A. V. Ramana, Chairman, NMPA from JNC Hall, Panambur as a precursor to the “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas”.

The 3-kilometer run saw enthusiastic participation from about 300 attendees, including Port officers, employees, CISF personnel, sports personnel and students. The run commenced from JNC Hall and concluded at the Business Development Centre, located along NH-66, Panambur.

During this occasion, Dr. A. V. Ramana, Chairman, NMPAemphasized Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s leadership in uniting India, recalling his critical role in integrating the Nation, his dedication, sincerity, and loyalty to the Nation.

As part of its ongoing commitment to national values, NMPA will observe “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas” on 31st October by taking the Integrity Pledge to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, and pay tribute to the India’s “Iron Man” reaffirming Port’s commitment to the integrity of the Country.
