Newborn dies due to negligence at Govt WC Hospital Udupi
Udupi: A newborn died during delivery at the District Government Women and Children Hospital here, on October 14.
On October 10, Nalini wife of Manohar Kulal from Perdur was admitted to the District Government Women and Children hospital for delivery. On October 15, she developed labor pain. It is alleged that the newborn died due to forceful delivery by senior nurses.
According to doctors, Nalini developed labor pain on October 15. During the delivery, the baby’s legs were stuck inside, the doctors tried their best but the baby died in the process.
The family member Srinivas has alleged that the baby died due to the negligence of the senior nurses who were on duty and the absence of doctors during the delivery.
