Nine Nursing Students from Kerala Injured in Mishap
Udupi: A taxi overturned near the Akashvani junction in Brahmavar on Monday morning, injuring nine occupants.
A group of students from Ashrit Nursing College in Kota had arrived by train at the Indrali station after holidays.
They engaged a taxi to go to Kota. At Brahmavar, the driver lost control over the taxi and it overturned.
Among the students, Shanimol, Pritty John and Dona Tangachan were severely injured. Sandra Saji, Akshaya V S, Geetu Devasia, Shami S and Ranjani B and another sustained minor injuries.
A case has been registered at the Brahmavar police station.
