Nizamuddin Express Train AC Coach Catches Fire, Passengers Safe
Udupi: A moving Nizamuddin Express train AC coach caught fire due to a short circuit at Kambadakone near Byndoor during the early hours of Sunday, April 28.
According to sources, the Nizamuddin Express train was on its way to Ernakulam from Mumbai. At around 1:20 am near Kambadakone one of the AC Coach caught fire. A woman noticed thick smoke in the coach and immediately alerted the Railway station officials. The officials immediately stopped the train and evacuated the passengers after breaking the window glass. It was a minor fire but thick smoke had spread all around.
No one was hurt or injured in the fire which took nearly 30 minutes to douse.
