No alternate Leader to PM Narendra Modi in the Country – Meenakshi Lekhi

Udupi: Meenakshi Lekhi MP and national spokesperson of the Bharatiya Janata Party said that there was no alternative to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and that there would be anarchy in his absence. People of the country want him to be the prime minister once again to safeguard the nation from family politics.

She was addressing a mega rally “Panchajanya” organised by the NaMo Bharath Udupi district Unit at the Malpe Beach on Sunday, March 3.

Lekhi claimed that under PM Modi’s leadership many pro-people schemes have been introduced in the last 5 years of his tenure. The Congress-led Mahagathbandhan is a great danger to the security of the country, in case the ‘gathbandhan’ wins and if a Pulwama type incident takes place in the future. All the opportunists have come together to protect their dominance in their respective States and dream of becoming the Prime Minister. While on one hand, they are busy saving or nurturing their own families, Modi is busy developing the nation.

Under the leadership of Modi India has given a befitting reply to Pakistan for the Pulwama attack. “Its a situation when some stringent measures for the security of the nation need to be taken, can the grand alliance provide the country with that? No, they can’t, only PM Modi who works for 18 hours a day can ensure the safety and security of the nation.”

It has been shown that India, today, has a Prime Minister with a strong will and determination, who can make impossible things possible. “You may have heard when the Pulwama attack happened; Our PM said that martyrdom of our soldiers won’t go in vain. And valiant IAF pilots destroyed the terrorist camps inside Pakistan even before 13 days. Today the country is in “safe hands” of Modi and he would not let the nation bow down”.

“This shows the determination of a strong government,” she added.

Lekhi also slammed the earlier governments for their inaction against terrorism.

“There were Prime Ministers earlier too, there were governments earlier too but lacked the determination to act against terrorists which was clearly evident,” she opined.

Modi Govt does not have any intention to gain political mileage out of the airstrikes carried out in Balakot in Pakistan by the Indian Air Force (IAF),“But it is the opposition, despite being aware of the sensitiveness of the operation, which is trying to extract political mileage from the airstrikes,”.

Lekhi said opposition party leaders know how the then previous government acted irresponsibly during the Mumbai attack and how they prevented IAF from taking revenge from terrorists.

“The opposition party leaders in order to cover up their mistakes are suspecting the bravery of the IAF,” she said.

Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) had already admitted that IAF carried out airstrikes in Balakot and highlighted the damages. Those who seek evidence of the airstrike should take note of this, she added.

after the India-Pakistan War in 1971 the then government had conveniently forgotten to bring back 54 India’s Prisoners of War (PoW). But the present government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, had succeeded in bringing back IAF Wing Commander Abhinandan to India.

Lekhi said India’s leadership was capable of making Pakistan succumb to the pressure. “India under Modi is growing and is becoming the global super power.”

She said that Pakistan has been playing deceptive game against India since decades and India had waited for a
leader like Modi since a long time.

“This nation wants a leader who dares to rectify the mistakes committed by the leaders in the past,” she said.

MLA Raghupathi Bhat and fishermen leader Yashpal Suvarna handed over a memento to prime minister Narendra Modi through Meenakshi Lekhi.

Journalist Shrikanth Shetty delivered the introductory remarks. NaMo Bharath leaders Shashank Shivatthaya, Chethan Azad and others were present.
