No Option in Law to Travel Without Paying Toll in the Country – MP Shobha Karandlaje
Udupi: The Udupi-Chikkamagaluru MP Shobha Karandlaje said that there is no option in the law in our country to travel without paying the toll, vehicle owners should have the pass. Today the Union Minister Nithin Gadkari has come to Karnataka and I will try to convince him again.
She was speaking to media persons at Kota on Saturday, December 1. “Constructing the National Highway is the work mof the Central Government, but developing infrastructure for the roads, protecting the toll plaza, maintaining the roads is the duty of the State PWD department”.
“The state PWD minister Revanna has failed to address the problems of the protesters protesting against the toll in the district. We do not get any cooperation from the state government, I will also discuss the matter of paying the toll with the deputy commissioner. I will actively participate in the next protest and try to convince the central government,” she said.
